What a day!

Well, it's been an interesting day so far. Yeesh! First off, I'd like to clarify a point I made in my last post. It seems that I used the word "jealous" a little too hastily. By jealous, I wasn't meaning "gee, I wish I was that lucky lad". It was meant more as a "I hope that lad realizes how lucky he is and treats her damn well". I am very happy dating Lis and have no interest in dating anyone else. I'm sorry if anyone took that post the wrong way -- it was just a poor choice of words.

Lis and I ended up getting into a fight because I misread a comment she made to me. And since I misread her comment, I shot a note off to her that was really rather mean. I didn't intend it to be -- I just wasn't watching what I was writing. She was very hurt by that and I got more frustrated because I still didn't fully understand her comments and now she was misunderstanding the intent of the message and blah blah blah! Basically, we got into a fight that could have been avoided had I just slowed down a little. Yuck!

So needless to say, it's been a rather high-strung day!

Thankfully, Lis and I talked to one another on the phone and figured out what the other one really was talking about and we have things all cleared up. Of course, I think we both wish there had no been a misunderstanding to begin with!

The one great thing about Lis is that she and I always talk about what's going on. There's never been a day in the past year where we were both pissed at one another and just didn't bother bringing it up. Anytime there's any conflict we try to get it resolved as fast as we can. I think that's the reason we've had such a successfull relationship!

I suppose I should go back to getting some actual work done. Hopefully there isn't going to be any more drama today! :-D
