White Clouds

Outside my window, there are some white clouds. I wonder what they are hiding inside of them. They're so big and poofy, there could be entire civilizations living in those clouds and I'd never know it. My guess is that the only thing inside of the white clouds are more white clouds...

Outside of my window there is a pretty green tree. It's green now because it's summer... but winter is around the corner and soon my pretty green tree will turn a pale brown. But don't be sad for the tree. It'll come back to life again once old man winter has shuffled out and the spring lamb is bleating. It's amazing how a tree seems to reincarnate itself every year. I wonder what a tree thinks about during the long, cold winters. Does it wish for spring? I suspect that the only thing a tree thinks about is the weather... but whether the tree thinks at all isn't up to me.

Outside my window there are cars. Inside those cars are people; people with lives of their own. I wonder what their lives are like. Are they happy? Sad? Too busy to stop to think about what their lives are like? I think all people are happy. There's no reason not to be -- they're alive! Some people just don't realize they're happy, and that's why they sometimes appear sad. Sadness is just dormant happiness. I think the people in their busy cars should take the night to sit and think about what their lives are like. If everyone did that, we'd all get along better.

Outside my window is a world. It's fun to sit inside and watch the world go by around me. Being an observer gives me great insight as to how my life works. I can watch the clouds, the trees, the cars, the insects and everything else outside my window -- and relate to it all.
