Dreary

I'm having a hard time getting on the ball today, and I think it's due to lack of sleep and the weather.

It's been raining pretty much non-stop for the last 12 hours or so (probably more, I'm too lazy to think about the numbers right now). And I don't mean a gentle rain like I used to see living in Vancouver or Redmond. I mean a decent rain for a while, then torrential downpours for a while.

When I drove home from Elissa's last night, I had to drive the truck thru a few streams in the road where the water was up to the top of the tires. When I walked into my apt yesterday, the water in front was up to my shins. It's been raining a LOT.

And I didn't get much of any sleep last night. It seemed like I was constantly waking up because of the noise. So I am dog tired today -- want nothing more than to take a long nap.

Don't get me wrong, I love the hell out of storms! And this one has been no different -- it's been a blast to see. I am just whiny because I can't seem to think straight because it's dark out and I'm tired. That makes it really tough to get much work done -- though I have managed to get bits and pieces taken care of today. I'm just looking forward to sleep tonight. But before sleep, I am taking Lis to Kohl's (they're having a 50% off sale, and she wants a pair of boots) and bringing Pixel over to her place. Pix is gonna stay there while I'm home for Thanksgiving so she can have a playmate (Miikka) while I am gone. And I'm hoping to get my laptop reformatted tonight as well, if I can manage it. We'll see how it handles Windows 2003 Server. We'll see how I handle Windows 2003 Server. ;-)
