And So It Begins

It's crunch time at work.

It's about 7:30pm, and my work day isn't over yet. I'm actually writing this while waiting for compiles to finish. I'll most likely be working late from now until Feb 1st, then I should hopefully get a small respite in the late nights + weekends. But I am thinking it may actually be like this straight thru until REAL World (which is the end of March). Wahoo! Oh well, it's part of having a job in the computer industry, and I don't mind it too much so long as I don't burn myself out. I'll earn a ton of comp time from it. :-P

On the plate for tonight and the next few days is getting all projects to compile. This means making menu item arrays work (as well as special menus), control arrays, console applications (which I got done with the help of Jon working on some plugins tonight), Mach-O applications (which should be working again, but I can't test it out) and things like that.

And I would just like to say for the record: MenuItem arrays are a horrible hackish idea and should die a painful death. Use the new MenuItem APIs already -- they're much better than this tripe! But enough about that... time to get back to work!

If it's any consolation, I'm actually working on REALbasic right now too...

I'm calling it a night finally :P Good news to tell you tomorrow though! :)

I ended up staying until 8pm, then went home and did home stuff. My brain was pretty well fried.
