Busy Weekend

After getting off work at 8pm on Friday, I went to go see a movie with Elissa and our friend Rachel. We went to the Incredibles over at Tinsletown (south) at around 9:30. That movie was damn funny -- if you haven't seen it, I'd suggest you go check it out. Somehow, Rachel managed to fall asleep during the movie. I swear that girl has narcolepsy or something. Before checking out the movie, Lis and I threw darts at her apartment. I beat her at 301, but she was doing pretty good at cricket. We had to leave before we could finish the game though!

I took the day off on Saturday so I could hang out and relax. Ended up going to the Academy with Lis so she could get her own racquetball racket (instead of always borrowing my good one and leaving me with the crappy one!) and a new winter jacket. Then we sauntered on over to Walmart to find some rainpants (which they didn't have in her size at Academy) only to figure out that short girls don't go camping enough to make rainpants for them. They only carried L, XL and XXL sizes! Oh well.

So we came back to my place, hung around just long enough for me to make a grocery list and then braved the HEB near me. But we had a purpose! We made burritos for dinner -- and damn were they good. We used the Chipotle rice recipe from Jennifer, which was really good, as well as a bunch of other stuff. I'll post the whole recipe sometime later I'm sure. While eating our awesome dinner, we watched Law and Order on DVD. mmm, it was a good (but busy) day. :-)

Which brings us to today! I have to do some cleaning around the apartment today. It's just getting to be that time of the month I guess. :-P And I plan on going into work for at least a few hours so that I can get a start on some stuff (and possibly finish it!).

So it's been a pretty busy weekend for me. But I need those every once in a while to keep me out of trouble.
