So I went into work yesterday figuring I would only be there for a few hours. I wanted to get some stuff done for the next alpha, such as a templates window so that people can make console application again without any hidden keyboard shortcuts. 7 hours later, I got the templates window implemented, hooked up and debugged. I also fixed an error with parsing method declarations that I accidentally checked in on Friday (which is what took up a decent chunk of my time). I'm thinking of going back in today to work on minor polish issues just to get some of them out of the way -- but hopefully it won't be another 7 hour weekend workday.
I'm jealous -- MN got snow dumped on it this last week -- lots of snow. When I was home for vacation, there was almost nothing; it was depressing. Figures, I leave and a few weeks later we get snow. Sheesh!
My weekend has been rather boring and uneventful. Maybe I'll bake a nice cake or something today just so I feel like I didn't spend my entire weekend at the office. LoL. The one good thing about working late and on the weekends is that I get comp-time, so it just means more vacation time later. The bad thing is that I don't get to see my girlfriend as often as usual. But she's pretty busy now that school is starting back up. Cripes she has a painful looking semester ahead of her! Makes me glad I like comp sci and not biology! :-P
Well, I think I am going to go make some lunch and watch Airplane! -- I haven't seen that movie in years. I got on a classic comedy movie kick lately, so I rented: Airplane!, Young Frankenstein, Caddyshack, Planes Trains and Automobiles and a few others. Any recommendations on what I'm missing?
You're such a workaholic. And yeah, yeah, yeah. We'd go bowling if you lived here. lol.
luv and pickles,
jesse!
So Airplane was made in 1980 -- and rated PG. It showed people doing lines of coke (among other drugs), swearing (on a number of occasions) and nudity. You know, back when PG didn't mean "it sucks". :-P
Oh yeah, and don't forget the stereotypes (gay men, african americans, etc), the sexual innuendo (stewardess giving the copilot a blowjob, pilot hitting on a little boy) and other "non-PC" things. Interesting to see how in 25 years the rating system has changed so drastically.
