The Weekend

The weekend was nice, but not nearly long enough. I worked a little late on Friday night because b8 went out the door. I did some testing after hours (for about an hour) and entered about 7 or 8 more bug reports. I think the quality of RB 2005 is certainly getting better, but the fact that I can enter that many reports in an hour is also slightly discouraging.

I ended up taking a longer nap than I wanted to on Friday -- oops!

Saturday was a very dreary day. It rained off and on all day long, it was in the 40s and it was windy. But I still had a blast! My friend Dana had her graduation party (she just graduated from SCSU, but is going to end up going back for her Master's from what I hear). I haven't seen her in ages because I've been in TX, so it was wonderful seeing her again. And to make matters cooler, her brother Dan was home from the Air Force for it. Dan and I were best friends thru high school (which is kinda funny, because Dana and I were also extremely close friends, but she's 4 yrs younger than I am).

Her party was just like old times. Dana, her boyfriend Nate, Lou, Chubby, Meekes, Dan, Miyya and I all sat around shooting the shit for a few hours. I laughed so hard my stomach hurt! Then we went to see House of Wax -- it was an alright movie. I don't feel like I want my 7$ back, so it couldn't have been that bad. But it's nothing I'd go see twice either.

Got up this morning with intentions to go waterproof the house, but alas -- the block was still wet on the interior when dad and I got out there (around 11am), so we're going to punt on that until this afternoon. Hopefully by then the blocks will have dried enough to get them proofed, but I have a nagging feeling it won't happen today.

So odd story time. The plumber called on Friday and said he set up an inspection for Monday morning at 9:30am. Great! So the cement guy (who's supposed to pour the basement on Monday) calls me up on Saturday morning and says "yeah, I'm out here laying drain tile, and there's no plumbing in yet." wtf? Sure enough, when dad and I got out there, the water and sewer lines were run, but there was no plumbing rough-in work taken care of. So either the plumber plans on getting out there early on Monday morning, or he's got a lot of explaining to do. Yeesh!

Everybody send Lis a get well note. She had four wisdom teeth out and a bone graft on Friday, and from what I hear, today's supposed to be the most painful day of her recovery. :-( As the French would say, "le suck."

Time for lunch! Chicken & mashed taters with homemade cake for dessert. There are perks to being back home. :-)

And I've met Dan, Dana, and Nate before! Haha. We'll have to get together again sometime! IHOP was fuuuuun!

Yeah. IHOP is a blast, and mom's cake is always the bestest! No one makes it like mom. But I'm not bringin any over for you, so nya nya nya! :-P

Lou said he's gonna come waterproof with me today (at 4pm), w00t!

Don't bother aaron, nobody cares. :(

I care! Get better babe!

Adendum to the weekend -- Dan and Lou came over last night (no waterproofing got done, still too wet) and Dan & I played Magic for like 5 hrs. LoL, it was a great time -- just like the old days. :-D
