Twenty hours of sheetrocking later -- I'm about 80% of the way done.
I spent Friday night sheetrocking with dad, Adam and Andrea. Then on Saturday, I got up bright and early at 7:30am, and headed out to the house with dad. We got home about 6pm, just in time for poker night.
Joel, Chuck and I were the only three people who could make it. Scott threw his back out on Saturday while moving into his new house. Brian H couldn't get a kitchen pass from his wife. Chad was off doing something, who knows what. Same with Mark. :-P But whatever, we had fun without them. We drank a case of beer and played poker for about 4 hrs. After about 3hrs of playing, we realized that the deck was screwed up. Mom and dad mixed two decks together, didn't rearrange the cards, and failed to mention it. We were playing with 6 6's. LOL, oops. :-P
I slept in this morning -- was up at 8:30. ;-) Dad and I headed back out to the house where we were joined by Abe. The three of us sheetrocked until about 1pm when Lou and Dan showed up. Then the five of us rocked until about 6:30pm.
All of the hard stuff is done (yay!) and all that's left are things like walls or other stuff that's easy to get with one or two people. So I'm hoping to have the rest of the sheetrock done this week.
There are new pictures up in the House Pictures section. Sorry about the delay, but as you can see, I've been busy! But I have an extra bonus for you -- I posted a 30 MB .mov file (so you may need to get QuickTime for Windows). It's an annotated tour of the house (prior to sheetrocking). You can find that file (for a limited time) here.
Tonight, I am relaxing. Yay for doing nothing! But tomorrow morning, back to the daily grind of work. Yaw hee!
I hope everyone's had a good weekend. Sorry for the lack of posts.
Holy moly!! It looks like a house:) I will definitely come visit!! Maybe you should get a pool table, so you can get your ass kicked in your own home. Bwahahaha:)
