Plans for the week

All sorts of fun things planned for the week so far. Tonight: sheetrocking. Tomorrow: sheetrocking, then perhaps drinking at Howie's. Friday: um... Sheetrocking. :-P

I'll probably be taking the day off from work on Friday so that I can sheetrock all day long. I'm hoping to get everything done by the weekend so I can enjoy my long weekend for once, but I'll be cutting it quite close. I have the mudder and taper scheduled to come out next week, so it's got to get done sooner rather than later. The majority of the stuff is done, all that's left now is the putzy stuff -- doing the lower parts of the walls, doing closets, the kitchen wall, etc. Basically, stuff that takes a long time because it's all cutting and not too much hanging. But that's fine, since most of it is on the lower part of the walls, I can hang the rock myself.

Mom's been helping out with staining and varnishing all the trim work for the whole house. Man, that's a daunting job! There's a lot of stuff to do, and it's mostly piddly work. But she said she doesn't mind doing it, so that's awesome. I'll be helping her out with that once the sheetrocking is all done.

This weekend is a Ballman family reunion down at Brad's farm. We're thinking grandpa may not be around too much longer, so we want family pictures and all that other good stuff. It should be fun -- there's going to be a pig roast and other fun activities. The only down-side is, they made it on Sunday... right in the *middle* of the long weekend. :-P

I was thinking of going down for the Taste of Minnesota this weekend, but since we're having family stuff, I doubt I'll make it. Maybe next year. However, I am still planning on making it to some other fun MN events that I've been missing out on: Renfest, the Art Walk and if I'm daring this year, the Holidazzle parade.

Anyone feel like going to the Walker with me sometime? I'd like to go down one day for giggles (once I have more time on my hands), but I don't wanna go by my lonesome.

NEwho, time to get back to coding!

I'll go with you! Plan that into my vacation, if you have the time.

LoL, we need to sit down and figure out when you're taking that vacation darlin. :-P

Hope you're feelin better!

A roasted pig - that sounds great! We recently went down to Louisiana for our family reunion, and we had a roasted pig on a spit in the yard. It was really really good. :-)

That sounds so disgusting...I'm not even going to get into it.

I've never actually been at a family pig roast, but it sounds nummy since I like eating pig. Should be interesting. Perhaps I'll bring my digital camera along and post pictures of my goofy relatives. :-)

Definitely take your camera! I'd like to compare pigs. :-P

It's not the size of your pig that counts, but how you eat it! :)

You should come to RenFest with us!

And sorry I suck and can't go out drinking tonight. Boo to me:(

Did you end up going out last night?

Nopers, I sheetrocked until about 9pm with dad then came home.
