Yesterday

Holy moly, I spent way too long at Lumber One working on lighting and stuff. But! After four hours spent taking up Donna's time, I decided on my flooring for the kitchen, dining room and entry way. I also changed what my cabinetry hardware is going to be. Picked out all the lighting for the house except for the livingroom. And that's it. :-P

I'm going to stop out at Ron's cabinets today so I can finalize my kitchen and bathroom counters. I also have to ask him some questions about how much the cost of the hinges I am going with are. I realized that I don't really care whether my hinges are showing or not. :-P

Dad and I started working on the basement's half-high last night. We got all the materials carried into the basement (which was quite a bit of stuff) and got one wall's insulation put on. We didn't get any of the stud walls up though because there's still not power out there. The box is in, but the electrician hasn't come out to hook it up yet. I'm hoping he got out today to do it because otherwise it's going to be a pain to get the walls finished. I'm going to head out from work early again today to work on the walls down there. Hopefully we can get about half of the basement completed today. I need to get at least some parts of the basement done so that the plumber can do his thing on Friday.

Once I'm done building stuff, I think I'm going to go to JP's to hang out with Lou, Jess and friends. No clue when I'm going to get over there though since it all depends on when we wrap things up at the house. Should be a good time. I was going to go over for racquetball with Adam tonight, but due to the house stuff, there's just no way I could get over there at a reasonable hour. Sucks though, cuz I wanted to play.

Lis and I had quite a little spat last night. Bleh. We rarely fight, but when we do, it's pretty crappy. I think we're just very frustrated about trying to have a long distance relationship. Some things just don't work out nearly as well as we'd like them to. So we're more on edge with one another than we ever have been before.

I have a headache, so it's time to take a break from the computer for a few minutes. I hope everyone's having a good day!
