8am: woke up
8:15am: answered emails and posts on realgurus
9am: drove out to Lumber One in Avon so I could pick out my bedroom carpets, get some more sheetrocking nails, get Jim to send out the sheetrock for the garage, find out when my door's will be lockable and check out the price of paint.
10:30am: left Lumber One, headed into Home Depot in St Cloud. Had to check their prices on paint, see if my floodlight came in, catch up with old coworkers, get some gang boxes and cat 5 adapters (I decided I was going to do a small amount of network wiring in the house) and talk to my cousin.
11:30am: left Home Depot 90$ lighter since I decided to get primer there. But 40$ is coming back to me in a rebate. Headed over to Granite City Brewery to pick up two gift certificates (for my siders, who are freaking *awesome*). Since I was over there, I also went and grabbed some lunch at Chipotle.
12:15pm: got to the job site. BSed with Brad and Scott (my siders), then ate some lunch.
12:45pm: Started sheetrocking, running installing gang boxes, cleaning, checking screw heads, and other fun things.
7:15pm: Got home. Am now consuming a beer, and plan to repeat until the sheetrock dust is gone from my throat (which will take at least another 2-3 beers I suspect).
My feet hurt, but I got a fair amount of stuff done today. I'm heading back out to the house tomorrow with dad to do even more sheetrocking. It's down to the piddly crap where you have to make a lot of cuts for things like electrical boxes and stuff. So there's not much square footage to cover, but it's slow-going.
hey aaron! why don't you read this hilarious thread on RB. Sounds like you've got a lot of personal stuff going on. I bet after reading this you wanna go back to developin' RB some more instead of ranting an' raving 'bout your sorry life:

Heh, you sound like one of the 14 yr olds commenting on how Java's teh r0x0r.
Yuck. Chipotle:)
Hi Aaron! I am glad to hear that the progress is going so well on your house! Are you working with Brad and Scott Lange?? If you are, they are great....and everyone at Lumber One is very nice as well!! Just wanted to stop in and say Hi. Talk to you later...
@Jess - Chipotle rules, you're yuck!
@Amber -- I'm working with Brad Shouts actually. Dale and Jeff Lange did my trenching though. :-P Thanks for stopping by, good to hear from you again!
aaaghh! I can't stress how totally I miss St. Cloud area this month! You're driving me crazy with jealousy, boy. :P
By the way... You may find the irony hilarious. But. I am going to be cruising through big, bad, Texas in about a week. Actually, I'll be out of town for three weeks; going into Mexico for two of those weeks (the state of Hidalgo - look it up!) to assist some physicians who are giving aid down there. Good times, right? Then school starts for me as an int'l business major a few weeks after that. And I am so jealous, too, of your house that's being built. It's awesome!
Lol, dork! You should have cruised thru awesome Texas when I *lived there*. Sounds like you're going to have a fun time though -- lemme know how it turns out for you!
