The Reunion

So we had a family reunion on Sunday, which also entailed a pig roast. I got a ton of pictures from it, none of which are posted online yet. That's because I need to find a new set of batteries for my camera!

I had a great time going, even though I was exhausted. The stupid cat woke me up at least 5 or 6 times the night before, so I got almost no sleep. Couple that with almost 12 hrs of sheetrocking, and I was a hurting puppy.

In any event, dad and I got there mid-morning (it was held about 2.5 hrs south of me on Brad and Cease's farm). Mom couldn't come down because she hurt her back staining and varnishing. All of dad's brothers and sisters were there (Alan, dad, Larry, Brad, Greg, Jan, Steve, Randy, Mark, Melissa and Paul and almost all of their spouses). Most of my cousins made it as well. I won't bother listing them because (as you can imagine) there's just too many of them. Out of the thirty or so cousins, only about ten of them couldn't make it -- and a lot of them due to living in other states).

I'll try to get pictures posted (possibly even annotated!) sometime soon, along with progress on the house. We're down to just having a few closets left to do. Dad and I were out for another four hours this morning, but decided to :: gasps :: take the afternoon off! We're getting down to the piddly things that aren't hard to do, but just take time since you have to make cuts. We'll get it finished up soon enough though. I'm excited, things are still on schedule. Hopefully by next month I'll be getting ready to move in! I'm still shooting for the first or second week in August to have my certificate of occupancy.
