So the house is getting very close to being completed, and I'm getting excited. My carpet didn't get installed this weekend because it was damaged. So I've got a new roll of it coming to the house, and it should be out at the house relatively soon (sometime this week I'm hoping).
Dad and I went out and started hauling appliances upstairs and into the kitchen. My fridge and dishwasher are up there and all set to go. But the stove was damaged (which I didn't notice until I got it out of the box), so I had to get a new one from Home Depot. They didn't have the one I bought in stock (it was clearanced out), so I ended up getting it switched out for a better stove. Wahoo! So my new stove is going to be delivered early next week, which is also when I get my cable internet hooked up. My phone will be activated the week after that. Um... I should be getting a driveway this week sometime... all sorts of fun stuff is happening!
I think I'm still on schedule for moving in the next few weeks. :-D Couple that with the fact that Elissa will be up here the 19th, and I'm pretty damned excited.
Well, now it's time for me to continue researching writing a PE32 linker... wahoo!
The house is looking awesome, Aaron! I'm jealous! :)
Thanks! I'm getting hyper about moving -- it can't happen soon enough. :-P
Why bother with 'old-fashioned' phone? If you've got a descent enough cable connection, just use VoIP - MUCH cheaper! I would do it, but in the UK it's difficult to get broadband without a phone line, so you may as well use it.
Lotsa reasons -- the least of which is that I won't have as much bandwidth as I'd like (only 3mb) because I live out of town. And the phone line is relatively cheap. It's certainly cheaper than having a cell phone, and I don't have to watch my minutes anymore.
Yay for it getting done! When do you think you'll get totally moved in?
