All sorts of things are happening lately, so here's my little status update.
They came out and put the final grade on the lawn today. We may have a problem with getting the slope right though, so I've had a few..erm... strong... discussions with people about it. It better be fixed.
The people putting in my driveway (Universal) have done absolutely nothing. So they're about to find out that I have a size 13 boot which I don't mind shoving up people's ass when they only do half a job. Not that I'm angry or anything. ;-)
My carpet will be put in on Monday morning, at least, that's the story. The carpet's yet to be delivered (at least, as of 11am today), so I'm a little scared on it -- but I'm sure it'll work out (they do Sat deliveries too).
I have my final walkthrough (so I can get my certificate of occupancy and start moving in) on Tueday morning -- so everyone needs to be done by then, come hell or high water.
Lis gets in next Friday, so I'm really excited about that! I'm hoping to be all moved into the new house by the time she arrives so that I spend time going out with her and not trying to move things around. I'm pretty sure I can get it all done, but, as you can see from my list above -- other people need to step up to the plate too.
In terms of non-Lis and non-house stuff, there's really nothing happening in my life. It's just been a whirlwind lately, so I haven't done too much else. I think I'm playing volleyball Sunday evening though, so that'll be nice.
I'm really looking forward to my vacation with Lis. It'll be wonderful to be with her again, and it'll be great because I won't have so much house stuff to worry about. :-D
:) Seeing all the progress from the pics you've been posting while building the house, I've been cheering you on!
Hopefully, everything will go smoothly so you don't have any worries moving in. The place looks gorgeous. Guess the next big home project will be the landscaping? :) If so, you know you gotta post those too! :P
I know how anxious I got when there was only a week to go before I moved into my house (wish I was a new house with a design I made, but alas, the housing market - and my bank - weren't feeling that generous at the time ;P). Since you're moving into a house you not only designed, but watched get built and had a hand in actually building, I'm betting you're even more anxious than I was :P

Yup, carpet came in this morning -- seems to be in good shape too. So I think it's still on for Monday!
