Hoooy!

Sorry about the lack of posts this weekend, but I was quite busy.

Friday night I don't really remember much of. I'm sure it involved playing Final Fantasy X until some late hours.

I woke up very early on Saturday morning (7am) to go fishing with dad. We went down to Clearwater Lake to go for sunnies. We got there and found out that there was a northern (pike) fishing tourney on the same lake with 85 teams, so the lake was a little more crowded than normal. But that's ok, we found a nice windy-as-hell spot to get blown around in, but still came home with about 15 fish to eat. Mom fried them up for us for lunch when we got back around noon.

Then I went home and decided to take a little nap. Six hours later, I was angry. ;-) But I got up and finished all my varnishing work so that dad can come over and install more trimwork while I'm gone this week.

Then I sat down and played more Final Fantasy X. Until 5am.

Sunday morning I woke up at 10am (decided I didn't want to fish with dad at 7am again for some reason, even though he went out and caught his limit), got ready to face the day and went over to mom and dad's for the Vikings game. What a worthless frickin team. It's going to be another typical year, and I'll still watch all the games and cheer for them -- but they still suck. But at least I got to eat some deer steak while I was over there! :-)

I got home from their house and Mike was out seeding my yard. Wahoo! Unfortunately, I am helplessly watching most of my seed float away in a current thunderstorm right now. But it looked promising last night. :-P

Oh yeah, and I played even more FFX last night too. I'm quite far along in the game and can go take out the end boss whenever I want. I just want to do all the side games and build up my levels for the final battle(s). :-P

I'm spending the better part of today prepping for going to PDC. My flight leaves from St Cloud at 7:30pm, but I have a ton of random things to take care of (haircut, shave, make sure the cat's all set up, pay bills, etc). So it should be a god and boring day today, but I'm really excited about PDC this week! And I get to see my sister and meet her boyfriend Dave! And Lis reminded me that our friend Aaron is living in LA, about 20 minutes away from where my sister lives. So it's gonna be a fun week I think. I made Janet find me a hotel with wireless, so I'll try to post some geeky updates along the way.

Have fun in LA!

Lucky, you didn't spend 8 hours at the office :P

Heh, so if you're at PDC, you must have seen the new Office 12 interface. Looks like Microsoft ate Mac OS X and vomited--Aqua and brushed metal all over the place, mixed together to boot. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it ;)

Yes, I have seen the new Office 12 interface. Keep in mind, I haven't used it yet, but it looks passable in terms of usability. Whether I think it's attractive or not... ;-)
