Hooray for Books!

I ordered three books recently, and I'm happy to say, book number one has arrived. I finally broke down and bought a hard copy of the Windows Interface Guidelines for Software Design (better know as the Windows User Experience). I figured that since I end up at that web page so often, I might as well get a nice hard copy version of the information to reference. I hate doing a lot of reading online, it's never really captured me.

The second geek book I ordered was Linkers and Loaders, which is mostly for my own education. I've got a broad overview of how they work, but this should help refine my knowledge. And we all know how dangerous a refined knowledge can be in the wrong hands. ;-)

The third book I ordered might surprise some of you. I am a huge Lenore fan, so when I saw that Roman Dirge released Volume 3, I had to get it. Sadly, it won't get here until November because Amazone has a bad habit of promising a ship date, then delaying on it.

I just finished reading Blood Canticle by Anne Rice; a book that I fished out of a store in LA before my flight home. I usually enjoy her novels, but I was quite underwhelmed by this one. No big surprise though, it was meant as light reading to occupy my brain on the flight home.

The book I'm currently reading is Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris. Lis told me about this book and said I would enjoy it, and as usual, she's absolutely right. I am really enjoying the sense of humor in the book, and I'd highly suggest it to anyone.

LoL, I feel like I'm starting a book club here. :-P

Aaron, Why don't you post a link to your amazon wishlist items, that way those of us who appreciate the help you give and want to say than ks can do so in a materialistic way.

That's an interesting idea. I'll have to construct a wish-list first. ;-) But I'm always happy to expand my collection of books -- I don't watch TV.

T.V. Isn't that like buggy whips? I can't remember the last time I turned it on.
