Ug.

My flight from St Cloud was late by 45 minutes due to high winds. So I got into the MSP airport with 10 minutes to run from gate A1 to gate F16. A good, long distance (the entire length of the airport). I was two minutes late, and it was the last flight to Austin.

So I had to spend the next 40 minutes waiting for a supervisor to bother to show up. Then I had to argue with her so that I could get put up in a hotel for the night. "We don't make accomodations for weather related issues." Bullshit. I was fuming mad, but I managed not to swear at her, and I got my stay at a hotel (the Park Plaza). If I wasn't so tired and pissed off, I may have enjoyed my stay at a 5-star hotel. However, since I had to be awake at 4am to come back for the next available flight down to Austin, I didn't enjoy it at all.

My flights into Austin this morning were mostly uneventful. Except they lost my luggage. No surprises there. But at least I made it into town in one piece.

Needless to say, I'm exhausted right now. So forgive me for not having anything interesting to say.

Gee, and you still managed to answer my App.DoEvents question on the NUG! That's some dedication--thanks.

i heard a tip that it is better to ship your luggage UPS or DHL 2 days earlier so it will always make it there..

Hi Steve,
Your tip didn't mention where to send the bill :-D.

You know Steve... I've heard the same thing. Personally I've become the king of packing small and having either a carry on or one of the pieces that you hand them as you board and pick up as you exit.

I'm sorry your flight was shitty. May mine prove to be better! Have fun while you're down there.
