I had a great weekend. :-)
On Friday night, I picked my sister (Meggan) up from the airport about 11:30pm. I brought her over to mom and dad's place, and hung out for a little while BSing.
Then on Saturday morning, I got up, met mom and Meggan over in Luxemburg at 9am and we drove down to Jan's place for our family Christmas party. I didn't get pictures this year since I forgot my camera at home, but I think Meg might have taken some.
It was a nice party -- but smaller than last year. A number of people weren't able to make it, so I think we only had about 50 people there this year. But it will still nice -- I got to talk to a lot of people I haven't seen in a while. After giving my cousin Maggie enough shit about not seeing my house, she claims we're getting together this Wed. We'll see... :-P
We got home from the party (which was down by St Peter) about 5pm. I had a bit of dinner, and then Adam & Andrea called me up to see if I wanted to go play pool. So I went over to Clearwater (to the Legion) and drank while playing pool. Adam and I took on a couple of the locals in a game, and managed to win. It was a blast -- those two rock.
Today I got up and went over to mom and dad's place to watch the Vikings. They played exactly how they usually play when they get into the playoffs. LIKE SHIT. Seriously, the offense never bothered showing up. Those morons made it into the red zone four times, and turned the ball over on three of those four times (two interceptions at the goal line, and a blocked FG attempt). Couple that with two botched run-backs and a fucking SAFETY (honestly, when's the last time you saw a pro team that sucked so bad as to get a safety?) and it was a normal Vikings experience. I cheered them on the entire game though. :-)
After lunch, I came meandering back here to St Augusta. Then I found some interesting news out. It turns out that the people who processed our deer this year screwed the order up. We have no chops, steaks or roasts. None. NONE! Oh my, I was angry, but dad was livid. So I'm calling the meat place tomorrow morning to find out how they managed to screw our order up. I'm sorry, but who the hell wants 63 lbs of pepperoni sticks without any of the tender cuts?! Rawr, I'm peeved over this one. Hopefully we can work something out.
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
How can they screw it up that much? Who did you go through to get it processed. I heard MacDonald Meats does a good job, as does the Foley Locker.
Glad you had a good weekend!
Good question -- however, it sounds like dad might have forgotten to tell me about another box full of meat, so they may not have screwed up at all. I'm going over to their place to check it out this week.
