Merry Christmas!

Not certain which of you celebrate the Christian holiday, but I'd like to wish you all a very happy holiday season, regardless of religion!

I had a very nice day with my family today. I got over to mom and dad's house around noon, and we promptly went out to eat some House of Pizza food. MMmm! No one really felt like cooking today since we're having turkey and all the fixin's tomorrow.

After pizza, we came home and watched Alexander, which wasn't too shabby of a movie. I wouldn't have paid to see it in the theatre, but it's worth the rental fee.

Then we had Christmas mass at the local catholic church. It was just as crazy as years past, but still nice to see a lot of people I haven't seen since this time last year. There was only one part of mass which I found highly bizarre -- before mass started, someone was carrying a little straw version of baby Jesus up near the alter as everyone sang "happy birthday." It was... cultish. ;-) But each to their own!

After mass, we came home and had some left-overs and other random pieces of food for dinner. Then we decided to open gifts instead of waiting until tomorrow. It was nice, I got a lot more stuff for the house, so I was happy. Mom got a telescope from dad, so that's neat -- we're going to set it up tomorrow.

All in all, it was a nice day spent with my family.

I'm excited for tomorrow though -- Elissa gets up here around 10pm, so I'll get to see her for Christmas! Yay! :-D

Again, I hope everyone has a happy (and safe!) holiday season!

Merry Christmas! So what did you get?

By the way, we did the same thing as you in opening presents on Christmas Eve. This way we can sleep in tomorrow!

LoL, good call -- I'm getting up early tomorrow to make cookies with my sis and then have xmas dinner around 2pm. :-)

As for what I got...

A picture of Meggan (my sister) and I at our old house. A new pair of winter hiking boots. Three glass containers (for things like sugar and flour). A cute little sign for hanging in the kitchen. A snowman/cat decoration. A warm zip-up sweater thinger. A decorative box container thinger (really no other way to describe it). And that's it (though I don't have Lis' gifts yet).

Merry Christmas, Aaron!

Merry Christmas and Happy Winter Solstice.

Sounds like it's just what you need to turn your new house into your home! :-)
