What a day!

I spent most of today adding new features to various existing features to take advantage of other new features. If that can get any more vague, just let me know. :-P I got a ton of stuff done today, but that's only because most of what I was up to involved a lot of redundancy. But that's why K&R invented macros, right?

It's been snowing a bit lately. Started last night, still going right now. We've got about a foot (with drifts going higher) already. I got about half of my driveway shoveled before giving up. I figure that if I need to leave, I've got a good running jump at getting out of the driveway. :-P I'm hoping to trade the neighbor some beer for him blowing out my driveway. It's a wet snow, but damn, I reall have been loving it. It's been great -- I've been watching it snow out my window all day long. When Lis gets here, we're going to go sledding, and now I know we've got enough to make it fun! :-)

You know you talk too much when you account for 11% of the traffic on a very active message board. LoL, I realized this today as I noticed I'm approaching the 1000 post mark. Yoiks!

I've had a headache all day today that drugs just aren't curing. So I plan to apply liquor once work is done.

One more day left until my holiday! :-D

Booze is good food.

liquid bread, my friend!

Remind me to tell you my tequilla story....

Ugh. Liquor:(

Yay for sledding:) She'll love the snow!

I ended up sitting in the hottub with my neighbors while it continued to snow out. However, I did manage to get my driveway cleared off.

I have an idea...

Get one of those snow plows and attach it to your truck. Then park in your garage, but backwards, and then you can go somewhere and clear your driveway at the same time!

(FYI, I have lived in Southern California for 90% of my life. While I would like to buy a house up in Big Bear some day, I have yet to live anywhere where it snowed and as kids we got excited when it hailed!)

Aaron, you're making me jealous. Ever since my surgery in May, I've been on medication that can't be mixed with alcohol. I haven't had a single drink in months. It sure makes programming harder! What's worse is that it screws up our winter family tradition: on the first day of snow, my wife and I would break out the gold tequila and do shots until we forgot it was winter. :)

Scott, that sounds like the kind of family tradition I could learn to enjoy :)

Aaron, I have exactly the right medicine for you, a 1973 Armagnac that'll go down sweet and nice. Being a wine and spirits export agent has its plusses :-)

@Scott -- sounds like an awesome tradition, but sorry you're going to miss out on it!

@dda -- I'm trying to get into wines and such a bit more. It's quite fun. So what does being an export agent entail? Does that just mean you get send people wine and spirits (and what IS a spirit anyway?) out of country?

Yay, looking forward to the sledging here as well. Suspect it'll be another month or so before the snow makes it to NE Scotland.
