So the weekend is coming to a close, and I need another weekend just to recover from my weekend.
I was up bright and early on Saturday morning -- 7am dad called. A friend of the family owns Pioneer Panels (they made the window jambs for my house, did an awesome job -- if anyone is in the St Cloud area and needs panels, closets, jambs, etc done, I would *highly* recommend going to Pioneer Panels), and they needed help moving from their old location to their new location.
Dad got to my house about 8am, we went out to the Schwinghammer farm (where our trailer lives), and picked up the wood-haul trailer. Then off to Sauk Rapids!
I spent the better part of the day moving materials, machinery and other fun things. Thankfully, the two shops are only about a mile apart, so the moving itself wasn't too bad. But I managed to pinch my back pretty good -- my own fault for not stretching.
About 2pm we were done with the move, and so dad and I went back to my place. We wandered around the basement and made a shopping list for the electrical toys we need to get my wiring done. Then... I took a nap. A damned nice nap.
About 5pm, Abe called me up to let me know he was coming by my place to make sure I made it to poker night. So a very sleepy Aaron followed Abe in to Chuck's new house (over by the new Fingerhut warehouse). I played some Texas Holdem and managed to grab second place. So I essentially played poker for free! And I had some *awesome* Pappa Murphy's pizzas and plenty of beer. Not bad -- free beer and pizza, spending an evening with awesome friends. :-)
I came home about 11pm or so (made it an early night cuz I was so tired, and sore) and hit the hay.
I woke up about 11am today and went to Home Depot with mom and dad to pick up all my electrical stuff. $360 later, I got all of it plus a garage door opener. Then I went out to mom and dad's house for dinner (had fish -- was tasty!), watched a little TV and just generally hung out.
I got home from their place, unloaded all my loot from the day, and did a little programming for fun.
But now, here I sit, and I feel like I did nothing but chase all weekend long. But what's strange is, I really didn't chase THAT much -- it just feels like I did! But I'm thinkin of grabbing a DVD or two sometime this week and spending a night just vegging out -- it's been a while since I've done that.
I hope everyone else had a great weekend! Who can top my weekend in terms of excitement? (Come on, it shouldn't be that hard to do).
Sorry, you got me beat. =)
Pinched your back? At your age? Whatsamatter with you? You need to de-ass the squeaky chair and get a movin.
I taught my son how to sweat pipe on sunday, it was good until he set the sheetrock on fire, ah well, he did better on his next go. DId a wine tasting on firday night, as I don't drink any alcohol, I just did people watching. It was more exciting than it sounds.
