Shoo-ey?

I went out after work on Friday and played racquetball with Adam -- three games worth. It was a blast; I'm looking forward to playing again on Monday. I'm happy to have a racquetball buddy again (Elissa's awesome little brother Lawrence was my previous pal in this sport when I lived down in Austin) -- it'll keep me in good shape.

After racquetball I gave a one-on-one networking lesson to Adam to help him with his project. Hopefully he now gets things straightened out a bit. I tend to forget that not everyone thinks the same way that I do. So what seems glaringly obvious to me is total wizardry to someone else. I'm gonna have to work on that a little more.

Lis and I have been at each other a bit more lately. This whole distance thing really blows and we both hate being apart. But I get to see her again in about a month (1 month, 2 days), so I can't wait! I'll be even happier when she's done with school and hopefully within driving distance of me (for grad school). The distance blows, but she's worth the struggles.

Dad came over this morning around about 11 and we started working on the shelves again. They've all got the biscuit cuts, and three (out of four) shelves are glued and biscuited together. But we only had three sets of clamps large enough, so one shelf will have to wait until tomorrow.

I got all my trim work stained, and most of it varnished (ran out of flat space, so I'll have to varnish the remaining four boards tomorrow) today as well. So that's nifty.

Tomorrow we'll get the remaining shelf glued, and start sanding down and prepping for stain and varnish. Heck, I may even get a coat of stain on them tomorrow if we work fast enough! The other thing I want to get done tomorrow is head over to Hennen's to get my entertainment center. My 100$ coupon finally came in the mail today. :-P

I'm in the process of making a list for everything that needs to be done so I can finish the basement off. Man, that's going to be quite a chunk of work, but I think it's gonna be awesome when we have it done!

I'm heading over to my neighbor's tonight for a spot of dinner, possibly some poker, and a little hottubbing. It'll be a nice, relaxing night. When I'm done over there, I'm going to call Lis up and help her study for the GRE some more. I'm her vocab "trainer." :-)

Oh well, it's time for me to do some cleaning. Sheesh, I don't recall what it's like having a day where I'm *not* chasing all the time!
