Huttah!

Today is a good day.

My taxes are done (got those taken care of yesterday), and I get a refund this year for the first time since I was in high school. Yay for having an incredible amount of debt! :-)

I woke up this morning to the blissful noise of snow. :-P I went out and shoveled the driveway (we got about 1-2" up here, but further south got over a foot) after waking up. And guess who showed up! The furniture delivery people. Finally. So my entertainment "center" arrived after an 8-week wait. Yeesh! It looks really nice though! It's not a typical entertainment center. This is just a cabinet bottom (with drawers and glass windows and such); there's no surround on the top. I'm stoked about getting everything off the server rack in the livingroom and into a real piece of furniture. :-)

Then mom came over for lunch, and brought a surprise for me. Taco John's! My mom's the coolest and can totally beat up your mom. :-) She had some of my homemade chilli for lunch while I chowed on "west-mex" food (she doesn't like mexican food, so that's why she was eating left-overs). She likes my recipe, which I made up on the fly this week. :-P

Tonight's fun times will be playing doubles in racquetball with Adam, Doug and Roger. I'm looking forward to the exercise -- and so is my gut. :-P Hopefully this time Doug doesn't club me like a baby seal though. My head still hurts from where he whacked me. :-P

Lis made it back to Houston safely from her trip visiting her sister in Chicago, so that's awesome! I see her in less than a week! :-) I'm hoping the neighbors don't get too annoyed with me foisting the cat off on them so soon... That's why I shoveled their driveway today too. :-P

Oh. Duh. Yay for tax money! I want mine back:(

Why did you shovel the snow? You could have moved some snow aside, put your cat on the clear spot, then covered it up with the snow. Cheap cryogenics! All you'd need to od is thaw out the kitty when you return.

(Disclaimer: If I actually tried to do this to my own 17 lb. cats, I would quickly become the next plot on CSI.) :)

My first post. Woohoo! Is it just me, or are there an abnormal number of REALbasic users with cats? (Me included).

@Scott -- your cats scare me. 17lbs isn't a cat anymore. It's a behemoth.

@Chad -- Welcome! I think it's a prerequisite to using RB. ;-)

Hey! I have a little orange tabby cat named Cooper!

When he's not watching me use RealBasic, he likes to stack his toy mice inside his food bowl. Later in the day, he'll push his food bowl all around the kitchen trying to get his mouth down to his food.

He's sweet, but not too bright. :-)

Woah - we need to have cats too to have RB? Ooops... think I missed the memo on that one. :)

(Wish I had a cat, if that counts for anything... Stupid landlord don't allow pets.)

I used to have a cat, and a 17 pounder too. But he behaved in many ways more like a dog... couldn't get him to fetch anything though.
