Yoiks!

It's been one of the more busy weeks I've had in a while. Tons of meetings at work that were all over the place (but had a happy ending regardless), a lot of emotions, etc. I'm glad last week is over -- now I can get back to happily coding away. Meetings are an ok break from work, but I don't like them when they're all lumped together into a week. Then I just feel lazy. :-P

You may be wondering why I haven't been posting any RB tidbits lately. That's mostly due to lack of time. I have been finding myself writing blog posts only when I first wake up, or just before I go to bed. And since I haven't been working in RB this past week, I've not had the chance to think "oh yeah, someone else might like to hear about this." So that's why you're getting the shaft (except for those of you who actually care to hear about what's up in my life, who are probably happy to not get a million geek posts). Most of my posts are inspired by things I think about while working. So lack of work = lack of RB posts.

My weekend has been relatively stress-free so far, which is a welcome change. I had breakfast with Mars yesterday before he headed back to Seattle, and that was a blast. Mars is a ton of fun to hang out with, so I always enjoy seeing him for these week-long meetings. After that, Lis and I went out and ran around town. We had to get groceries for her, and movies, and stuff. Let me tell you -- she and I cannot find movies together at all. Our tastes are way too different! I tend to like dark comedys and horror films, and she tends to like dramas and love action/comedies. At least I know we can always agree on CSI or Law and Order. :-)

Today, assuming the weather cooperates, we're going out hiking. That should be fun, except for the Texas heat. My dumb ass forgot to bring shorts along on this trip, so I only have jeans to wear. Duh me!

I get back to MN on Tuesday (sometime -- not certain when. lol) and thanks to one of my faithful blog readers, I'm confident I'll be able to find my XBox 360. Scott Shriver sent me a link to this neat little app which checks local store supplies. :-) I see that Austin has plenty of choices, but I'm not certain how I'd be able to fly with that bad boy. I don't trust baggage handlers since I've never seen one NOT throw luggage on the belts. So I think I'll wait until I get back to MN to make my purchase. I'm excited though. :-)

Oh well, it's time for me to have some food and get ready for hiking. Looks like we're going to go out to Pedernales Falls today. Should be a fun, though hot, time.

What is everyone else up to this weekend? Anything fun?

Yuck, .net required. Bad App!

I am watching th epool guys open the pool, as well as waiting for a buddy to come over so we can shoot a hundred or so birds. Ah, life is good.

Better watch out -- Lis may go shoot herself a Bill. ;-)

You could always FedEx yourself the XBox the day you leave TX. Then you can be waiting at home to receive it :P

Clay pigeons, city boy - Pfffft.

It was fun, andnot a living thing was harmed, other than my shoulder.

Good deal -- now my girlfriend can go back to liking you. :-)

Come on, she doesn't eat chicken? Or turkey? Or tasty, tasty Grackle on toast?
