Long Weekend

I hope everyone has a safe and fun long weekend (for those of you in the states)!

I plan to get some more work done around the yard/house. I got my perennials put in tonight (seven of them), but I've got a lot of house left to cover. So I may go poking around the local nurseries to see if I can find any shrubs to put in. I also want to pick up a few flowering crab apple trees as well.

I've got to finish plumbing the sandpoint in this weekend, which shouldn't take too long. The pump stand is built, and I've got all the parts to plumb it in. Just have to get into the basement and do it. Once that's done, I just have to prime the pump, wire it in, and I'm good to go.

Poker night is this Saturday. There was a fairly long hiatus; the last time we all got together to take one another's money was in January. Looks like it's just going to be the locals again -- the guys in the cities are all crapping out for one reason or another. For some reason, the birth of Henni's first child is more important than poker with the guys. :: shrugs :: ;-) I hope everything goes well for Kari!

Might go fishing with dad at some point this weekend, but we'll see if I do or not. If I don't fish with him, I'm sure he (and mom) will come over for grilling sometime. Can't not grill -- it's great weather for it. Though I wouldn't mind a bit more rain to soak the black dirt back down into the yard.

Got the latest beta out tonight, and I think all my UI surprises are done. Which is nice because that means all of my features for the release are done and I can focus on polishing them up. So far the reports have been about what I'd expect, and they've all been easy fixes. We'll see what comes in this weekend in terms of reports, but from playing around with them, they're all pretty stable. Still need some icons made (and a cursor), but that's not too hard to hook up.

Oh well, time to go play some Oblivion. Adam was kind enough to grace me with some BF2 tonight, which was a blast. But my gaming needs aren't sated quite yet. ;-)
