Oh noes, the sign of the debil!
Man people are weird. Do they not realize that the calendar we use today is totally different from the one that John the Revelator (awesome song by Depeche Mode, btw) would have used? Today has no more meaning than my birthday does. Stupid numerology.
Phrenology. Now that is where it's at.
So my day was spent working on some rather enjoyable bugs. I was tracking down a GDI object leak, which took the better part of the entire day for me. That sucker was a nasty one to try to find -- GDI leaks usually are. But I eventually nailed it (and oops, it was my fault to begin with!), so I'm glad that's done with.
I'm doing some "spare time" work for giggles with regards to metafiles on Windows. It's mostly just a technology thing for me; I'm curious. Don't expect anything interesting to come of this as it's mostly just fleshing out a feature RB already has: OpenAsVectorImage. I'm just trying my hand at supporting other enhanced meta file objects. We'll see how I do, I may end up scrapping things if it's too hairy. But it'd be kinda fun to write (for the WFS) a rasterizer for EMF files. I don't imagine that being terribly difficult since I could use just the Win32 APIs to dump it to a bitmap, instead of trying to keep everything in a vector format. Anyhow...
I assumed I was going to get some groceries today, but alas, I totally failed to get out of the house to grab them. Perhaps tonight, seeing as how I have almost nothing left that's edible here. Heh, oops.
Oh well, off to go putter in the yard for a while. Not too much of interest happening in Aaronland today.
Hmmm, what's GDI? Does it have anything to do with printing? Or page setup strings? :-)
Vector files are a cool thing, and I'd appreciate any expansion to REALbasic's support for them. What about SVG? Is there any support planned for that? It's just XML, in any case--it's not like there's a super-difficult binary format to master.
Phrenology. Heheheh. :D
@Adam -- GDI
And nope, nothing to do with printing in this case, or stupid page setup strings.
There's no support planned for SVG that I'm aware of.
Two words. Seri Al.
'nuff said.

You mean yesterday was 06/06/06?! No wonder my app was crashing! It wasn't my code, it was the "debil"! :P And here I thought there was a bug :P
