I got up at 9am this morning and started planting trees. I didn't get done until about 2:30 or so. But hey, the price was right: free. George and Nancy had to put in a parking lot in one of their rentals near the campus, so a bunch of the neighbors got together and re-planted the trees which came from there. I got a really huge willow tree, a decent sized shrub, a tiny basswood and a huge ornametal something-or-other. I also helped plant almost 30 lilacs, another willow and a maple tree in various neighbor's yards. It's been a long day! But I'm really happy with the trees I got -- they look awesome! And I'll have a fun time playing volleyball tonight. But boy will I be sore tomorrow!
I've been using Word 2007 a lot more lately, and I'm really digging it. They've done a great job of modifying the user interface, and I'm very impressed with the changes. The user experience is a lot better than it has been in previous versions. Hopefully I'll get the chance to take some screen shots and describe the changes and why they're good in the coming week or so.
This is going to be a short one -- I need to make some lunch, otherwise I won't have the energy left to play volleyball tonight. Hope everyone's had an awesome weekend!

I'm glad you had a good time. I had a miserable time in Chicago. I flew there Thurday to take an exam Friday morning at 8:00 AM. My flight on Thursday was delayed by over 3 hours, eliminating my time to review my notes, then relax, before the test. On Friday, my return flight was cancelled. I was placed as the first stand-by passenger for the next flight 5 hours later. Just before that flight took off, they bumped somebody else ahead of me. He got on the flight and I didn't!! The first promised to pay 1/2 for the hotel room to stay over that night, then changed their mind and paid nothing! When I got to the airport at 6:30 AM, they told me that my ticket indicated the wrong gate. They sent me to another gate, but after a long wait I noticed that my flight never showed up on the gate's monitor. I asked again about the gate and was told that I was sent to the wrong gate! I finally made it home, and my wife told me that the airline claimed that I was a no-show for the flight I was bumped off --it was "my own fault" that my seat was given to somebody else (even though I'd checked in at the gate twice using my name and ticket, and the person at the gate confirmed my status!).
I will NEVER fly American Airlines again and encourage all of you to avoid them like the plague. They take the prize for incompetence, lying, and not caring at all about their passengers.
@Joe -- yup, I've read that blog before.
@Scott -- So Northwest and American Airlines are both out. That leaves, what? Delta? Continental? Southwest? ;-)
LOL, can you afford a private charter flight on a single-engine plane? :) j/k
I'll add my huge thumbs-DOWN for Northwest (again) :)
Haven't had too many troubles with the other mentioned carriers so far, just that evil Northwest.
