I've written a new addition to the RBLibrary.com collection called "Polishing your Application." As you can imagine, it's about how to create a professional piece of software and details many of the little nuances that are easy to overlook. The article is light on code because many of the concepts discussed are generic in that they apply to every application, but narrow in that how and where you need to apply the concepts is specific to your application's needs.
I'd highly recommend you go out and grab a copy of this -- it's 15 pages long and packed with a lot of information that is applicable to anyone developing professional software. It also helps that RBLibrary.com is running a 20% off sale until Nov 7th. :-)
If you have questions or comments about the article, feel free to ask them here -- I'd be happy to discuss.
Great article also.
Love the Chrome!
People ought to buy two copies it is so good.
I agree....
This is 1 article that is a must! to read.
Gotta Love the front cover picture ;-)

Uh, the cover picture was a smiling pig, right?
(Gulp!)
LoL @ Bill -- that was the first thing I checked when I saw Mega_newby's post. :-P
Now that would have been a Freudian slip!
Though I am sure that 90% of our user base would have gotten a smile from it.
There are some misspellings in the article description on rblibrary.com..or are you trying to be tongue-in-cheek?
And, is this article targeted mainly to Windows apps or all platforms? (Of course, the Windows "side" of all my apps could surely use some polish..so perhaps this is a foolish question.)
Misspellings? I would be aghast to find out it were true!
Heh, heh, well I wondered if it wasn't a "jibe" at developers who might let the occasional misspelling into a dialog box or something, thus making their app look not quite so polished.
Golly jeepers, I'd be delighted if my programming blunders were limited only to misspellings.
@Russ -- it's fairly generic conceptually (polish is polish, after all), but does touch on some Windows-centric concepts.
