It's going to be a busy weekend for Aaron, let me tell you (in the third person, no less)!
I have a lunch date today with mom (in about an hour) to go eat some awesome pizza from the Green Mill in St Cloud. We might exchange vehicles since the family wants to go get a Christmas tree this weekend, and I'm the only one in the family with a truck anymore. But they were also talking about just strapping it to the top of mom's Rav4, so who knows.
Then tonight is supposed to be a nerd night with Lou. He bailed out on the last one (which was supposed to be Wed), so he damn well better make it to this one. Nerd nights are always a blast, but we need to start recruiting some fresh blood as well. Anyone in the area who's interested in drinking beer and playing video games should give me a holler. Traditionally, it's guys only, so sorry ladies. ;-)
Tomorrow is going to be a LAN-tastic day. Starting at 10am (promptly!) we're doing Battlefield 2 and possibly some Starcraft over at Adam's house. I was going to be the one hosting things, but with the copious amounts of sheetrock dust in the basement, I figured it's too dangerous to have it here. So Adam's rockin out and hosting it instead.
Once the LAN is over (which will be around 3 -- have to cut it short due to other festivities for the majority of the participants), then the "real fun" begins. :-P I bought 20 gallons of primer, a paint tray, and a roller. Time to start priming the basement! My hope is to get as much done this weekend as possible. So I figure that a good 9 hours on Saturday and 12+ more on Sunday should be enough to get the place finished. That's assuming I have enough tenacity to finish it in two days. :-P We'll see.
So that's my excitement for the weekend. What's yours?
Oh, yeah, and before I forget -- head over to RBLibrary.com! Bill just posted some awesome new articles, such as how to install Linux and how to make a plugin system for your application. Really good stuff!
Who's turn was it to buy lunch?
Also, check out the new graphics that Dave Wooldridge whipped up for us, he took pity on me being so badly abused.
Have fun painting, I would prefer to spend the time sliding pins into my eyeballs than paint...
Mom's, but I bought anyways because my lunch was spendy. Which graphics did Dave do?
Check out the logo (top left).
It is tres cool.
