So I finally got 2.5 out the door! Wahoo! You can grab it here:
http://www.aaronballman.com/programming/REALbasic/Win32FunctionalitySuite.php
There's a ton of new stuff for the various Vista APIs (but obviously, not nearly as much as there could be). Additionally, there are a lot of bug fixes for things. I'd like to thank everyone for pointing out ways I can improve the suite.
If you plan on getting REALbasic 2007r2, you will want to upgrade to the WFS 2.5 because there are a few newly reserved keywords in REALbasic which I was using in pre-2.5 (the keyword Global comes to mind).
Enjoy!
Thanks for all of the hard work, Aaron! I've been trying for a couple of hours, but the file keeps extracting to v2.4. :(
Crap!! Thanks for pointing that out -- if you download it now, it should be good. :-/
Simply. Awesome.
(Thanks, A-man!)
Russ
Thanks Aaron! As usual, you rock! :D
Hi Aaron,
I keep getting v2.4
Could you please send it to me directly?
TIA
I noticed the same issue until I cleared my browser's cache. 2.5 is definitely what's up there. I'll still email a copy your way though.
Browser cache can be very tricky. It will make it look like you are downloading a copy of a file fresh, yet will be pulling it from your computer. I've been thwarted by this kind of issue before, in a class of mostly computer illiterate people, with a small file (so you couldn't see the speed difference).Luckily, clearing cache is easy.
Hello Aaron,
Great - I am just trying to get my project loaded into R2. However I don't know how to replace the WFS in my current project.
Any ideas how to do this?
Thank you for all your wonderful work.
Thomas
@Thomas Herold -- easiest way to replace it is to select the main WFS folder in your project, hit delete, and then drag the new WFS main folder from disk into your project.
However, how you go about replacing things depends entirely on how you've been using the WFS, so that approach may not work. There's really no one "right" way to do it though.
