Going Away Party

| | Comments (8)

Lis and I are sad happy to announce that we're having a going away party on Saturday, May 26. We realize this is Memorial Day weekend, and apologize for it, but it's the only weekend we're going to be available from between now and the move.

The plan is to start the festivities in the afternoon and carry on till people feel like leaving. It's going to be a fairly low-key affair.

If you need directions on how to get out here, just send me an email and let me know where you're coming from. If you need a place to stay, we'll be able to accommodate, but be warned -- there won't be much left in the house, so you'll probably be sleeping on a floor in the basement.

Please let one of us know if you're going to be able to make it so that we can get the right amount of beer and food. Hope to see everyone there!

oh for goodness sake !
That's probably the only weekend I could NOT make it :)
We're helping friends move that weekend into a place they just bought.
The curse of being a friend witha truck :)

Hah, I know what you mean (being a truck owner myself). It's ok, we'll get to have a few beers at REAL World, at least!

Son's birthday Weekend. Sigh.

I miss my truck.

@Aaron
Hope my hands healed up by then.
Moving glass today (6x8 sheets of it) for a green house and one exploded and sliced me pretty good

Ouch! I hope your hand heals up.

Should.
It was tempered glass so it shatters into small not really sharp shards but when you're trying to pick it up you still run hands thrugh it as it shatters.
Gloves are really shredded and my hands just glot some slices.
A couple are pretty good ones but no stitches

Congratulations on a new chapter in your life. I've moved several times throughout the US (New York, Oklahama, Texas, California, Missouri and Tennessee); while I'd give up something I miss about each place I left, I always found unique things to enjoy in each new place, new sights to see, and new friends. Enjoy your freedom to expand your horizons.
