Looks like PDC has been delayed this year, with no new date being given. Sad day, I was really looking forward to PDC again as that's one of the best non-REALbasic dev conferences in the world.

At least you are alive. Any phone yet?
Phone comes on Tuesday.
How about squeaky chair?
Nope, no chair as of yet (Lis is using the office chair we bought from her friend at UCR). I'm just using the couch as my staging point for getting work done. :-)
Umm...whatever happened to "Developers, Developers, Developers!" from Microsoft? This seems like it would be the one conference you wouldn't cancel or delay. It's the one conference where everyone will be (mostly) friendly and enthusiastic.
From the announcement it sounds like they're "Too busy" to hold the conference. How many thousands of people work for MS? How many developers use MS products? This strikes me as very odd.
"Too busy" wasn't the message I got from the announcement. The way I read it was that they like PDC to be about upcoming technologies, and this year, the "upcoming" technologies will already be released by the time they could get PDC up and running at the time they said PDC would be happening.
