Christmas

Well, another year, another Christmas holiday. This year, I'm splitting Christmas day in half -- half the day is down in Texas, half the day at an airport, and half the day in Minnesota (it's a long day!). It's great to be able to see both families.

Lis' family celebrates on x-mas eve with the extended relatives. I had a blast, once I was done cooking the tenderloin. :-P Uncle Glenn brought a small portion of his impressive arsenal, which we went down to the pond and shot. I shot the 45 magnum handgun again, which is always cool. But this year I also shot a 357 magnum, and an AK-47. That's in addition to the 12 gauge Lawrence and I were skeet shooting with a few days earlier. Yee haw!

I got some really nice gifts from Lissy's family -- some new programming books, some camping gear and new PJs! Lis got a bunch of books, and also some camping stuff. Her dad got a video camera (a few days before x-mas), and so he was having fun videotaping the entire process.

We have to head back to Austin in a few hours, drop the rental car off, and get ready to take a few flights up to MN. We get into MSP around 9pm (in theory!), and that should put us into St Cloud with a few hours left in Christmas.

I hope everyone is having a great holiday season (Christmas, or otherwise) that is spent with family and loved ones. :-)

Merry Christmas!

45 magnum, or 44 magnum? Sounds like you had fun nonetheless. Well, a belated Merry Christmas to you and yours! :D

Glad you had a good time. It's been great seeing my family every day! Today my mother-in-law arrived as well, and tomorrow we're taking a drive to Niagara Falls, weather permitting. Merry Christmas!

@Will -- it was a 45, not a 44.

Thanks! :D Ever try a Desert Eagle .50? I used to enjoy shooting back when I was a pup, but I'm a full-grown dog now.

@Anonymous -- naw, I've not shot an eagle, but perhaps next time I'm down in TX, I can convince Uncle Glenn to bring his! :-)
