It's that time of year again -- REAL World 2008 is approaching quickly! I fly out to Austin today for the three-day extravaganza for REALbasic programmers around the world. I am pretty sure this year we will have someone from every continent except Africa and Antarctica, actually!
This year is going to be a strange one for me. For starters, I only have two talks (instead of four). I'm going to be doing the talk on Debugging, as well as one on Accessibility. Both talks were written from scratch, and should be pretty fun. The other thing that's going to be strange is that I probably won't be as visible this year. You see... I'm getting married the week after REAL World. Each previous REAL World has left me sick and unable to talk. Something about talking for 12-14 hours each of three days, I guess. ;-) So this year, I refuse to get sick! If I have to croak my vows out, I won't be very happy. This is why I'll be scaling back my public appearances for this REAL World. However, that doesn't mean you won't see me, or shouldn't come say hi. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone who's planning on coming. And if you can't make it this year, hopefully you can make it next year!
If you're interesting in what's going on at REAL World, here's a list of bloggers who have promised to give blow-by-blow accounts:
RBDevZone
Brad Rhine
Andy Dent
If I notice anyone else blogging about the event, I'll try to list them here as well.
I hadn't realized your wedding was so close. Sounds like we might to have raise a few beers to toast you and Lis one night.
